John's antiques.

John started dealing by accident 30 years ago. A steep learning curve which involved putting what little money he had where his mouth was soon led to the glorious world of antiques dealing, populated by a stunningly diverse arrangement of great people. People who shared knowledge and gave great encouragement to the new boy! In those early days he bought everything and anything in his quest to learn. That scattergun approach has never left him. He still loves having a go, particularly, it seems, if the object of desire is too heavy, too large, too weird to be sensible.

For John, dealing is all about the thrill of the discovery, something you have never seen before, don't know about but know you have to own! Then having the privilege of owning it for a while before selling it to someone else who understands and loves it as he does.....it's all about the passion.

Although his favourite  look is probably the 'faded country house' look, he also has a leaning towards the odd and edgy.  After various shops, a stint for one of the London Auctioneers and running his own saleroom. Long regarded as having a great eye and knowledge, he now spends the majority of his time working for one of the country's leading interior design and antiques dealers,

Take a look at some of John's antiques below. Please feel free to contact him about any specific requirements that you may have.
